On 3 March 2021, Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer held a virtual meeting with China’s Vice-Premier Liu He to discuss current financial market issues. Financial market cooperation should be reinforced and expanded.
Accompanied by representatives of the respective central banks and financial market supervisory authorities, as well as of the financial sector on the Swiss side, the two ministers talked about current challenges, prospects for deepening bilateral relations in the areas of stock exchange trading, sustainable financial services and wealth management, as well as central bank digital currency.
