Polish jobless rate lowest in EU, at 3.1% in January: Eurostat

Unemployment in Poland was a modest 3.1 percent in January, the lowest rate in the 27-nation European Union, the bloc’s statistics agency reported on Thursday.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Czech Republic had the second-lowest unemployment in the European Union in January, at 3.2 percent, while the Netherlands came in third, with 3.6 percent, according to the Eurostat agency.
