A record 56 percent of Taiwanese business leaders think that global economic growth will improve in 2021, according to a recent survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

In its 2021 Taiwan CEO Survey, PwC reported the highest level of confidence in the global economy since its first annual poll in 2012, which was also a steep rise from the 31 percent of leaders who expected increased growth last year.

By industry, financial services executives had the highest level of optimism, with 80 percent saying they expected higher rates of growth in 2021, while only 35 percent in the energy industry had that outlook.
